About the Book

Violet has survived a year of the zompocalypse—despite the fact she was bitten by a zombie on day one, occasionally eats people, and has no cardio ability whatsoever. Now she’s living in a community called Harmony, trying to piece her life back together following the loss of one of her closest friends. But things in Harmony are not always as they seem, and Violet’s world—as usual—becomes more complicated than she ever could have anticipated. She has to deal with dwindling food supplies, a leader with psychopathic urges, and her continuous desire to eat human flesh—and if that wasn’t enough, the return of someone from her past threatens to rock her entire foundation. Just another day in the life of a half-zombie!

Violence
5
Although there is a fair amount of violence, including killing and murder, it is not overly explicit - especially considering this is a zombie based book. There is a scene that implies a sexual assault is about to occur which some readers might find upsetting. When combined with the violence it rated at a 5.
Language
4
There is very little cursing in this book. There are sexual references such as prostitutes hence the 4. One use of 'Jesus man' Bloody is used as a swear word (as well as a description) which in other countries such as the UK is counted as a stronger swear word.
Romance/Sensuality
1
There is very little romantic content in this book, just some minor kissing. There is some talk of a couple now not having sex - but sex is mentioned literally as in 'we are not having sex'. There is a scene that implies a sexual assault is about to occur which some readers might find upsetting but this is covered under the violence rating.
Drugs/Alcohol/Smoking
3
There is some underage drinking on a couple of occasions.
Supernatural Characters: Zombies
Other: This is a zombie based story and has the various factors you would expect to come with it. This is the third book in the trilogy and has a similar rating to the installments before it.

About the Author
Melissa Woods

Melissa is a Primary School teacher by day and a writer by night. She grew up in a small town in the UK, and spent of her time with her nose in a book. Her childhood was filled with R.L Stein, Jacqueline Wilson, and J.K Rowling, and they inspired her to begin creating her own worlds. Melissa has always been fascinated with stories about living through an apocalyptic event, and with characters who feel so real that they become part of the reader long after the book was put away. She wrote the first draft of Alive? at sixteen, and has been hooked on writing ever since.

When she's not writing, Melissa enjoys reading, playing video games, crocheting, and spending time with her two dogs (and occasionally her husband).
